Summary
We are in immediate need of a Controller to work with the President in identifying and implementing the changes necessary to achieve our goals.
This is an opportunity to put your stamp on a vibrant energetic business, creating the processes and infrastructure required to support growth and significant change in the business model; implement appropriate GAAP compliant accounting and operational metric gathering and reporting infrastructure while working closely with the President to respond to new opportunities and to correct operational issues.

Responsibilities Of Controller:

• Serves as a member of the Leadership Team.
• Responsible for directing the company’s financial activities, operations of finance, and business office.
• Manages general ledger, cost accounting activities, financial statement preparation, cash management, payroll, and payables. Ensures GAAP compliance.
• Develops and oversees the budgeting process, preparation of applicable reports and returns, and works with our outside CPA, and financial institutions.

Expectations:

• The role calls for the Controller to be hands-on in a small accounting department, have strong analytical skills, and be a key partner to the General Manager to ramp up revenue growth, profitability, and refine processes.
• Your directive will be to drive the financial-related aspects (and to a degree, the operational aspects) of the enterprise to best practices at a higher level.
• He or she will be responsible for assessing financial reporting, controls, and personnel and will be relied upon to recommend and implement structural, system, and personnel changes.

Other responsibilities include:

• Recommending technology strategy so that the company gains efficiency while remaining compliant
• Leading the annual budgeting and planning processes along with senior management
• Overseeing working capital and identifying reduction opportunities
• Handling all bookkeeping and accounting functions including cash management and payment processing

Requirements for Controller:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required. Knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel.
• Masters's degree and CPA are desired.
• Three to five years of experience required, including supervising finance personnel and managing relationships with external accountants.

Other key experiences to have included:

• Working with automation
• Full knowledge of GAAP compliance
• The understanding of Accrual to Cash intricacies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
